_SUMMARY OF DUTIES_: The incumbent performs a full range of cleaning tasks in assigned buildings, including but not limited to the following:
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using brooms, mops, scrubbers, waxers and buffers.
Cleans carpets and rugs using vacuums and carpet shampooers/steam cleaners.
Washes and replaces venetian blinds and ceiling fixtures, replaces fluorescent and incandescent bulbs.
Removes stains from a variety of surfaces, such as rugs, carpets, walls, floors, doors and fixtures by use of proper chemicals and cleaning solutions and equipment.
Empties waste containers, dust window sills/ledges, wipe down furniture.
Washes and cleans windows inside and outside building using stepladders, ex tension ladders, scaffolding and safety belts to reach windows.
Keeps restrooms in clean and sanitary condition.
Wipes down walls and partitions.
Keeps track of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Maintain safe, clean and or derly stock and storage area.
Perform minor building maintenance to maintain the appearance of the buildings.
Applies ice control materials to entrance and sidewalks adjacent-to assigned work areas.
Removes snow by shovel and power equipment from steps and side walks in immediate vicinity of buildings.
During summer months, waters, re-seeds, fertilizes, and mows lawns using power equipment.
Pick up and dispose of litter and waste paper inside and outside of buildings.
_QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS_ :The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualifications System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C, Qualification Standard Handbook) will be used in determining applicants' qualifications. There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate through the experience shown in your written resume and your responses to the Occupational Questionnaire that you possess the competencies to perform the duties of this position without more than normal supervision. _BASIS OF RATING_ : The first job element is the screen-out element _(Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision)._ Applicants who do not meet the minimum quality level of experience for this element will be rated ineligible and will receive no further consideration for this position.

_SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS_ : A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
_PHYSICAL DEMANDS_ : Heavy lifting, 80 pounds or more, pushing, pulling, and carrying, required to move furniture, desks, boxes, extra-large bags of garbage and equipment around and up and down stairs. Climbing on ladders and scaffolding.

WORKING CONDITIONS_ : Subject to extreme weather conditions while working outside. In contact with strong cleaning agents. Appropriate protective clothing and/or equipment is provided to minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions and its use is mandatory. Will work alternate work schedules, which will include evening hours .

OTHER_: Incumbent is required to operate a government-owned or leased motor vehicle in the performance of duties, therefore, a valid driver's license is required. Incumbent must have a safe driving record within the three-year period immediately preceding submittal of GSA Form 3607 and be able to meet the safe driving requirements of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
