Health Technician (Diabetes)
The Health Technician will assist in the foot clinics scheduled in each district. Monitoring and recording all documentation gathered in EHR/RPMS. Including, but not limited to vital signs, foot measurements, foot conditions, and any other health related documentation. Assist in the development and monitoring of all performance improvement initiatives and reporting requirements of the grant. Analyzing management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques and systems evaluation methodology. Developing management and/or program evaluation plan, procedures, and methodology. Collect and monitor data gathered for various sources, such as interviews, surveys, and other in-person contact with participants, local clinical data management system and/or diabetes registry and patient medical records. Provide administrative support for the project director and other SDPI staff. With the Project Director, set up procedures for tracking and ensuring timely follow-up for participant activities, of submission of data and data reports to the appropriate areas. Perform other position related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements. NOTE:
Graduate education or an internship meets the specialized experience required above GS-5 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position. One full year of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-7. Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree meets the requirements for GS-9. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
